Dr Kelvin Khng 

Dr Kelvin Khng, B.D.S, M.S. graduated from the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Dentistry in 2006. He joined the National Healthcare Group and was the dentist-in-charge at Toa Payoh Polyclinic in 2008. In 2009, Dr Khng continued to pursue advanced specialist training in Prosthodontics at the University of Iowa, USA. In 2012, he successfully completed his postgraduate training and obtained his Masters of Science degree in Oral Sciences. Upon completion of his postgraduate training, he taught at the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry for a year before returning to Singapore. Upon his return in 2013, he continued his practice of prosthodontics at the dental centre at the National University Hospital with a joint appointment as an assistant professor at the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Dentistry. He continues to be actively involved in the undergraduates, teaching part-time at the University.

 

Dr. Khng is well trained in managing patients with complex dental needs. His expertise includes crowns and bridges, cosmetic dentistry, partial and complete dentures as well as dental implants.

 

Dr. Khng is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontist. Dr. Khng is currently the assistant secretary of the Prosthodontic Society of Singapore and is a member of the Singapore Dental Association.

 

Dr. Khng volunteered with Operations Smiles Singapore, a non-profit organization that provides cleft lip and palate surgeries in less fortunate communities back in 2009. During the mission trip to Kampong Cham, Cambodia, he was tasked as the team’s dentist who managed the dental treatments of kids undergoing cleft lip and palate surgeries.

 

In addition to his clinical and teaching experience, Dr. Khng races radio controlled cars and had been doing this since 1993. He claims that his ability to pay attention to details came from his 20 years of radio controlled car modeling. Over the years, Dr. Khng had represented Singapore in RC races held in Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and U.S.A. 

 

Range of dental asthetic procedures include: smile analysis, veneers, smile make over, treatment of tetracycline staining with veneers or crowns, replacement of missing teeth, treatment of discoloured teeth.
