Dental diseases in children like caries and gum disease should be prevented, diagnosed and managed  as early as possible, even for baby (milk) teeth. The interception and early correction of minor mis-positioned teeth and the early detection and management of dental anomalies will avoid future dental problems.The training and habit forming of young children to accept regular dental check-ups and treatment is a key aspect of laying the foundation of a lifetime of good oral health. Children would especially benefit from early preventative checks and regular visits for early detection and intervention of dental problems.
